New review highlights imaging the activities of vascular disrupting agents

review published in the chemistry journal Molecules, in collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Baylor University, highlights imaging the activities of vascular disrupting agents. Supported by multi-PI R01, this review exhaustively covers the field and provides diverse examples from the long-term collaboration of Drs. MasonLiuTrawick, and Pinney.

"The tumor vasculature is readily accessed and potentially a common target irrespective of disease site in the body," the authors say. "Development of a therapeutic approach and particularly next generation agents benefits from effective non-invasive assays. Imaging technologies offer varying degrees of sophistication and ease of implementation."

The review considers technological strengths and weaknesses.
