For information on research opportunities interested high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers should submit an email.
High School Students
The UT Southwestern Science Teacher Access to Resources at Southwestern (STARS) program offers a Summer Research Program in which we have a junior high school student join the lab for eight weeks during the summer to work on a research project and get a taste of life as a scientist.
Undergraduates
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) at UT Southwestern allows undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in science to get hands-on experience in the lab by working on a 10-week research project.
Graduate Students
If you would like to work in the lab as a graduate student, you will have to join the UT Southwestern Graduate Program. Most graduate students working in the lab are a part of either the Immunology or Molecular Biology programs. Please submit an email if you are interested in doing a lab rotation.
Postdoctoral Researchers
If you are interested in joining the lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher or Fellow, please submit an email.
UT Southwestern Medical Center has a very active Postdoctoral Association (PDA) of which every postdoctoral researcher or fellow working at UTSW automatically becomes a member. The PDA organizes a broad range of both social activities and research-related events, such as the Postdoctoral Research Symposium. UTSW also offers Certificate Programs providing training in soft skills for postdoctoral researchers.
