Dr. Yu has been awarded a $270,000 Junior Investigator grant from the Texas Alzheimer’s Research and Care Consortium to develop and validate a non-invasive pre-clinical MRI-based biomarker to detect pathological tau aggregation in the brain. According to Dr. Yu, this technique could facilitate non-invasive monitoring of disease-related changes as well as treatment efficacy in Alzheimer’s Disease.
