Research

Goal:  Create novel immunotherapy that suppresses inflammatory immune reactions and enhances cancer immunity. 

Objectives: 

1. Understand cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate immune responses. 
2. Find novel biomarkers and new therapeutic targets for treating skin inflammatory and metastatic diseases of cancer.   
3. Establish zebrafish cancer avatar for functional precision oncology.  

Ongoing Projects:

1. Discovery of SOX10-MITF axis to be a mechanism of acquired resistance to cancer immunotherapy.
2. Development of rare carbohydrate-targeting antibody that enhances cancer immunity. 
3. Create zebrafish PDX library for predicting pathological and pharmacological behavior of cancers.
