Brunoni Lab

Principal Investigator

The Brunoni Lab is dedicated to advancing Interventional Psychiatry through rigorous clinical trials and translational neuroscience. Led by Dr. André R. Brunoni (M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A.), the lab focuses on developing and refining noninvasive brain stimulation strategies—including rTMS, accelerated iTBS, tDCS, and related modalities—for treatment-resistant depression and other mood disorders across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on youth and young adults. By integrating neuroimaging, electrophysiology, and clinical biomarkers, we aim to move toward truly personalized, mechanism-informed interventions that can be implemented at scale in real-world settings. Our group operates at the interface of academia and clinical practice, building international collaborations, training the next generation of clinician-scientists, and contributing to guidelines and consensus in neuromodulation worldwide.
