Michael Dellinger, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Dellinger is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is also the Director of Research for the Lymphatic Malformation Institute, a non-profit organization that funds research on complex lymphatic anomalies. Additionally, he works closely with The Lymphangiomatosis & Gorham’s Disease Alliance (LGDA), and he was the Research Leader for the LGDA’s Rare as One Project sponsored by the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI). Dr. Dellinger completed his Ph.D. work at the University of Arizona and his postdoctoral studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His lab is focused on identifying novel treatments for complex lymphatic anomalies.

Anna McCarter, Research Assistant II/Laboratory Manager

Anna received her B.S. (2016) and M.S. (2018) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. Her thesis work under Dr. Terri Maness focused on the development of a protocol to quantify antigen-specific IgY in a long-lived seabird, the Nazca Booby. She joined Dr. Michael Dellinger's laboratory in September 2018 as laboratory manager/research assistant.

Marco Monroy, Graduate Student

Marco Monroy, Graduate Student

Marco earned his B.S. (2015) and M.S. (2017) in Cell and Molecular biology from San Francisco State University in San Francisco, CA. His thesis work focused on the role of microtubule stabilizing proteins during C. elegans sperm meiosis and cytokinesis. Currently, Marco is a graduate student in the Genetics, Development, and Disease program and became a graduate student for the Dellinger lab in Spring 2018.

Devon received her B.S. (2010) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Woman's University. She worked in Dr. Amelia Eisch's laboratory (Department of Psychiatry, UTSW) from July 2010-April 2016 as laboratory manager/research assistant. She joined Dr. Michael Dellinger's laboratory in April 2016 as laboratory manager/research associate. She completed her B.S. in Nursing from Texas Woman's University in August 2018 and left the Dellinger laboratory in September 2018 to pursue Pediatric Nursing at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Nina is an intern in Dr. Michael Dellinger’s lab during the summer of 2018. She is studying biomedical engineering at the University of Oklahoma and will graduate in 2020. Following this, she plans to pursue a PhD in tissue engineering.

Noor Khurana, Research Technician II

Noor received her B.S. (2016) in Neuroscience with a minor in Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas. She then went on to complete her M.S. (2017) in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She joined Dr. Dellinger's laboratory in June 2017 as a research technician and left in April 2018 to attend medical school at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Madeline Goldfarb, Summer Intern 2017

Madeline was an intern in Dr. Michael Dellinger’s lab during the summer of 2017. She graduated Stanford Online High School and is currently attending Carnegie Mellon University. She is planning on majoring in biology on a pre-medicine track and expects to graduate in 2021.
