Our lab works and plays together. Every Thursday we have a lab lunch where we catch up, get to know each other better, and celebrate birthdays and other important milestones.
About once a quarter, we have a lab social with varied activities, such as playing Xbox or learning to make delicious empanadas. We also had a “Lab Olympics” with events such as speed pipetting. Fabulous medals were awarded.
Our more serious side comes out in regular lab meetings and journal clubs.
