About Our Research
The overarching goal of our research program is to leverage human genetics to uncover novel pathways driving cardiovascular development and disease. Our work focuses on:
- Understanding how the genetic regulation of adaptor proteins influences functional microdomains in endothelial cells and monocytes.
- Exploring cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions during the development of coronary artery disease.
- Investigating the spatial and temporal expression and function of these adaptor proteins in cardiovascular development using innovative mouse models.
Through these studies, we aim to identify novel developmental and disease pathways that can be targeted for therapeutic interventions.
