Meet the PI
Dr. Tran N. H. Nguyen is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center, with a secondary appointment in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Nguyen Lab develops integrated biosensing and microfluidic platforms to enable real-time, functional interrogation of human tissues. Thresearch focuses on electrochemical aptamer-based sensors, vascularized tumor- and organ-on-chip systems, and precision monitoring technologies for cancer, women’s health, and hormone-responsive diseases. By combining microfabrication, bioelectronics, and translational disease models, her lab aims to advance accessible tools for early detection, dynamic disease modeling, and personalized therapeutic monitoring.
The Nguyen Lab at UT Southwestern is hiring! Come join the team.
The lab welcomes highly motivated graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with interests in electrochemical biosensing, microfluidics, and translational disease modeling. Lab members will work at the interface of engineering and medicine to develop tools for monitoring disease and therapeutic response in cancer and women’s health.
Prospective graduate students - Contact Tran N. H. Nguyen to discuss possible rotation projects. We are part of the UT Southwestern Biomedical Engineering Department and BME Graduate Program.
