The Asch Lab is at the intersection of psychology, biology, and technology, where Dr. Asch leverages collaborations between behavioral and molecular neuroscience, clinicians, chemists, and engineers to advance the understanding of the brain’s response to stress and trauma. As a behavioral and molecular neuroscientist, Dr. Asch focuses on developing cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques and animal models that can facilitate translational research in psychiatry.

The central goal of Dr. Asch's research is to uncover the mechanistic underpinnings of how stress and trauma affect brain function, with a particular emphasis on how these experiences shape mental health outcomes.
