Glynnis Garry Bann, M.D.

Glynnis Garry Bann, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology and Department of Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Center for Regenerative Science and Medicine. She obtained her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame followed by her M.D. at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She then matriculated into the Physician-Scientist Training Program at UT Southwestern through which she completed Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, and postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Eric Olson, Ph.D. before joining the faculty in 2024. She enjoys studying transcription factor and chromatin biology, and mentoring students and postdocs in the lab.

With over 25 years of experience in molecular cardiology research at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Sean brings strong expertise and enthusiasm to his role as Lab Manager. Throughout his career, Sean has contributed to major publications and played a pivotal role in advancing cardiovascular research through innovative lab management and technical excellence. His commitment to scientific rigor and mentorship continues to foster a collaborative and productive research environment.
