Syed Taskeen Rahman, B.Sc.

Graduate Student​

Taskeen completed his B.Sc from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 2019 and is now a Bioengineering PhD student at the University of Texas at Dallas. His research interest lies in the application of Statistical and Deep Learning techniques in Biomedical Imaging. He enjoys reading and playing soccer.

Jonathan X. Zhou, B.Eng.

Graduate Student​

Jonathan X. Zhou is a PhD candidate in Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in PET imaging with a focus on medical physics, image reconstruction, and the development of novel auxiliary hardware on state-of-the-art PET imaging systems. Jonathan earned his B.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Nanjing University in 2024. He also conducted research at National Taiwan University and the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging as a visiting undergraduate in 2023. Outside of academia, he enjoys reading, writing, exploring National Parks, and making Taiwanese Fried Chicken for his friends.

Graduate Student​

Lam Nguyen is a research technician and incoming PhD student in biomedical engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His general research interest lies within the application and development of AI models in imaging data for advancing precision imaging, early disease detection, and the discovery of new medical conditions. Before joining UT Southwestern, Lam received his BS in Data Science from the University of Rochester, where he conducted medical and biomedical research with image data from the imaging modalities of ultrasound and OCT. Outside of work, Lam enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, and watching detective and civil aviation technology shows.
