Dr. Kimberly Chan is an Assistant Professor and NIH-FIRST scholar in the Advanced Imaging Research Center and Department of Biomedical Engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Chan received a bachelor's degree in bioengineering with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley and a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Richard Edden and Dr. Peter Barker. After completing her Ph.D. in 2019, she joined the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later as an Instructor in the Advanced Imaging Research Center and Department of Psychiatry in Dr. Anke Henning's group. Dr. Chan's research focuses on the development and application of novel MRS techniques to answer key biological questions in clinical neuroscience and improve the diagnosis, disease monitoring, and treatment planning of neurological diseases and psychiatric disorders.
