Zoltan Kovacs, Ph.D.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Kovacs received his Ph.D. from Lajos Kossuth University, Debrecen, Hungary (now University of Debrecen), and did his postdoctoral work in the laboratory of Dr. Dean Sherry at UT Dallas. In 2006, he joined UT Southwestern's Advanced Imaging Research Center.
His primary research interests include the synthesis and application of hyperpolarized metal complexes and 13carbon-labeled metabolic intermediates, and the design of new paraCEST, T1, and radiopharmaceutical imaging agents.
James Ratnakar, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
Dr. Ratnakar earned his Ph.D. in 2004 from Madras University, India. He joined Dr. Dean Sherry’s group at the Advanced Imaging Research Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2006. His research includes the design and synthesis of macrocyclic lanthanide complexes for use as MR agents.
