We are a new lab building a collaborative and supportive team to study biological rhythms, metabolism, and primate biology. Our research brings together molecular, cellular, and systems approaches to study biological clocks, metabolism, and primate biology.
We are interested in trainees who are curious, self-driven, and interested in developing quantitative and computational skills. Opportunities in the lab span genetics, single-cell omics, disease modeling, behavior studies, and data science.
If you are interested, please contact Dr. Liu with your CV, a brief statement of your interests and goals, and the contact information for 2-4 references.
PhD students/applicants
We are affiliated with UTSW’s Basic Biomedical Sciences Programs and welcome rotation students from all programs.
Postdoc scholars and research staff
We welcome inquiries from motivated candidates seeking to develop independent research directions aligned with the lab’s research interests. See the UTSW Postdoctoral Scholars Program.
Undergrad, postbac, and high school students
We welcome students interested in working on small, independent, data-driven projects, through UTSW’s non-degree research programs or for-credit research programs at their home institutions. No prior research experience is required; however, students should be able to commit consistent time and show initiative.
