Current Lab Members
Jongwook Park, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Dr. Jongwook Park received his Ph.D. from Korea University, where he studied the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in pathogens and microbiota-mediated maternal effects. He joined the Obata Lab in March 2026 and is currently studying circadian regulation in the gut.
Mia Goda
Student Intern
Mia Goda is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University pursuing the pre-medical track. She previously worked as a research assistant at TAMU to study circadian biology, metabolism, and epigenetics. She joined the Obata Lab as a Student Intern in May 2026 to gain experience in neuroimmunology and to explore the biological mechanisms underlying gut homeostasis and gut-brain axis.
