Exploring GPCR biology to uncover new insights into metabolism.
At the Oh Lab, we explore G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling to advance understanding of metabolic regulation, aiming to translate basic discoveries into meaningful gains for metabolic health.

Dayoung Oh, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Principal Investigator
Touchstone Diabetes Center/Dept. of Internal Medicine
Dr. Dayoung Oh is originally from South Korea and holds a doctoral degree in molecular endocrinology. She completed her postdoctoral training at Korea University in the laboratory of Dr. Jae Young Seong, and later at the University of California, San Diego under the mentorship of Dr. Jerrold Olefsky.
Dr. Oh’s research centers on the intricate signaling pathways of G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) and their pathophysiological roles in metabolic regulation. Her work aims to unravel how GPCRs influence processes such as adipose tissue function, inflammation, energy homeostasis, and cardiometabolic disease.
