The Rizwan Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is on a mission to develop transplantable human tissues and is hiring for the following positions. 

Postdocs

  • Stem Cells / Organoids / Tissue Engineering: Expertise in stem cell culture and differentiation for tissue engineering / regenerative medicine.
  • 3D Bioprinting & Biofabrication: Expertise in bioprinting of cells or cell-free structures.
  • Hydrogel Engineering: Expertise in developing novel hydrogels and for tissue engineering / regenerative medicine
  • Microfluidics: Expertise in developing microfluidic chips for biomedical applications.
  • Multiphysics Modeling / simulations: Proficiency in multiphysics modeling / simulations and computational tools for bioprinting 
  • Liver Regeneration & Tissue Engineering: Expertise in various liver cell culture and liver stem cells for tissue repair

    For postdoc positions, applicants must have strong track record of high impact papers in leading journals.

Research Engineer

Skilled in designing bioreactors / cell culture systems, and integrating sensors / measurement systems for monitoring biochemical, and biological parameters during cell culture and tissue engineering experiments.

Cell Manufacturing Expert

Applicants must have experience in large-scale mammalian cell culture using platforms such as spinner flasks, Corning CellSTACK/HYPERStack, or bioreactors such as Sartorius AMBR 15/250. Role and title (Research Engineer, Postdoc, or Research Scientist) will be determined based on qualifications.

Lab Manager

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree with strong experience in research lab operations, management, and administrative tasks. Familiarity with standard wet lab techniques and instrumentation is required. 

Research Technician

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of wet lab experience, preferably in tissue engineering / biomaterials lab. Responsibilities include supporting research in biomaterials, cell culture, and related characterization techniques.
