The Rizwan Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is on a mission to develop transplantable human tissues and is hiring for the following positions.
Cell Manufacturing Expert
Applicants must have experience in large-scale mammalian cell culture using platforms such as spinner flasks, Corning CellSTACK/HYPERStack, or bioreactors such as Sartorius AMBR 15/250. Role and title (Research Engineer, Postdoc, or Research Scientist) will be determined based on qualifications.
Lab Manager
Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree with strong experience in research lab operations, management, and administrative tasks. Familiarity with standard wet lab techniques and instrumentation is required. ONLY the candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered.
Research Technician
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of wet lab experience, preferably in tissue engineering / biomaterials lab. Responsibilities include supporting research in biomaterials, cell culture, and related characterization techniques. ONLY the candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered.
Postdocs
Stem Cells & Organoids
Required: Expertise in stem cell culture and differentiation for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. Proficiency in flow cytometry and cell sorting is highly preferred.
In Vivo Biomaterial Testing
Required: Experience conducting in vivo experiments in small or large animal models, with expertise in evaluating biomaterial performance, transplanted cell survival, animal imaging, and survival surgeries.
Liver Regeneration & Tissue Engineering
Required: Expertise in liver regeneration, liver development, and liver stem cells, with applications in tissue engineering and liver repair.
3D Bioprinting & Biofabrication
Required: Experience in bioprinting of primary cells or cell-free structures, along with expertise in bioink development and functional analysis of bioprinted constructs.
