The Rizwan Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is on a mission to develop transplantable human tissues and is hiring for the following positions to contribute to a life-changing $25 million VITAL project (Vascularized Immunocompetent Tissue as Alternative Liver) funded by U.S. Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
Postdocs / Research Scientis
- Stem Cells / Organoids / Tissue Engineering: Expertise in stem cell culture and differentiation for tissue engineering / regenerative medicine.
- 3D Bioprinting & Biofabrication: Expertise in bioprinting of cells or cell-free structures.

Hydrogel Engineering: Expertise in developing novel synthetic hydrogels for tissue engineering / regenerative medicine
For postdoc positions, applicants must have strong track record of high impact papers in leading journals.
Cell Manufacturing Expert
Applicants must have experience in large-scale mammalian cell culture using platforms such as spinner flasks, Corning CellSTACK/HYPERStack, or bioreactors such as Sartorius AMBR 15/250. Role and title (Research Engineer, Postdoc, or Research Scientist) will be determined based on qualifications.
