Applying Wellness Habits

One of the foundational components of mental illness management and prevention is the quality of resilience. Resilience is the ability to maintain or regain mental health in the face of adversity or to bounce back from hardship and trauma. Resilience is not the absence of stress. Rather, it is built upon experiences of stress or adversity, and is the hallmark of strength and success. Dr. Trivedi discusses tips for reducing depression and anxiety through gardening with Dallas's own, Gardenuity team.

Sharing Insights

We believe depression should be seen as a treatable illness and we should be proactive rather than reactive. At the CDRC, we have a simple goal: reform clinical practice to bring about better diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and prevention efforts -making regular screening for depression the sixth vital sign monitored, after body temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, blood pressure and pain.

Solving Depression, Saving Tomorrows

Be part of the great impact we're having on science and medical care across the globe.

Built on a quarter-century of research in mood disorders, the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care (CDRC) was established in 2015 to realize a future free from the burden of depression. In the last seven years, our Center has demonstrated its impact in lives changed. We have led research into new treatments, including brain and blood tests, for depression and suicide.
