The Krämer Lab at UT Southwestern invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position.
Our lab employs Drosophila genetics and Cell Biology to explore the regulation of cellular stress responses. We continue to focus on Tor-independent mechanisms of autophagy induction in neurodegeneration (e.g. Nandi et al. (2017) eLife 6 pii: e30760) and the role of the Unfolded Protein Response and ER-stress in long-term visual adaption (e.g. Moehlman et al. (2018) eLife 7, pii: e38752).
UT Southwestern is one of the premier research Universities in the US. We foster a highly collaborative environment and thus the successful candidate will interact with a diverse group of faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in Biological Sciences or a related field.
Professional Competencies
- Experience with Drosophila genetics is preferred (but not required)
- A strong background in molecular and cell biological methods is essential.
- Record of high-quality research scholarship as evidenced by professional publications, independent research funding, and/or similar accomplishments.
