We are always looking for graduate students and motivated post-docs from around the world who want to work in an exciting multidisciplinary translational lab.
Prospective Graduate Students
If you are interested in joining the lab as a graduate student, apply to the UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. You can find a wealth of information, including the various programs offered and how to apply on the sites.
Prospective Postdoctoral Fellows
A postdoctoral fellow position in tumor immunology and nanoengineering is available in Dr. Jinming Gao’s laboratory at UTSW Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The lab research focuses on integrating nanotechnology, cancer biology and tumor immunology to advance cancer immunotherapy. The lab is part of the UT Southwestern Cancer Moonshot i3 Center in the Immuno-Oncology Translational Network (IOTN) from the National Cancer Institute.
Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with a team of experts in basic and translational research. Several project directions include nanoparticle agonists that activate stimulator of interferon gene (STING), tumor-targeted delivery of immune cytokines, and nanoprobes to image tumor acidosis and immune suppression. The candidates will be leading/co-leading projects, designing experiments for generating high-dimensional data while working closely with collaborators and lab members.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree with knowledge and experience in cancer biology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or related fields. Prior experience in primary cell isolation, flow cytometry, imaging techniques, and single cell techniques will be an added benefit.
Please send curriculum vitae (CV), as well as names and contact information of three (3) references to Dr. Jinming Gao (Email).
