Collaboration Between SMU and Baylor University Teams Yields Exciting New Discovery on Iridium's Role in Enhancing Chemiluminescence

We are thrilled to announce a breakthrough in chemiluminescence enhancement resulting from our ongoing collaboration with Dr. Alex Lippert and his team at SMU, sponsored by the NSF, and Professor Kevin G. Pinney and his team at Baylor University. The latest paper, "Oxygen-Sensing Chemiluminescent Iridium(III)1,2-Dioxetanes: Unusual Coordination and Activity," authored by a team of experts including H. N. Kagalwala, L. Bueno, H. Wanniarachchi, D. K. Unruh, K. B. Hamal, C. I. Pavlich, G. J. Carlson, K. G. Pinney, R. P. Mason, and A. R. Lippert, has been published in Analysis & Sensing.

This marks the 7th collaboration paper with Dr. Lippert's team since 2015 and the 14th paper with Dr. Pinney since 2011. The research explores the use of iridium to enhance chemiluminescence and has promising implications for a variety of fields, including biomedical imaging and sensing. We are excited to continue this fruitful collaboration and look forward to further groundbreaking discoveries in the future.
