Title: Investigating Peripheral artery disease (PAD) in mice using multi-spectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) and fluorescence imaging
Background:The blockage of the arteries caused by the deposition of fatty plaques in the arteries is known as peripheral arterial disease (PAD). It is one of the primary causes of cardiovascular disease around the world, with significant morbidity and mortality [1]. To protect cells and encourage the growth of new blood vessels, we are creating a novel, biodegradable dual-modal imaging nanoparticle (DINP) to administer therapeuticmedicines to ischemic locations. To accomplish this, we are examining PAD models and the ability to observe vascular function.
