Amber Salter, Ph.D., M.P.H

Principal Investigator & Associate Professor

Dr. Salter am an Associate Professor in the Section on Statistical Planning and Analysis in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center working on a variety of research projects and collaborating with researchers in Neurology. Much of her research is focused in the clinical area of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and she hold the Kenney Marie Dixon-Pickens Distinguished Professorship in Multiple Sclerosis Research.

Dr. Salter serves as the Director of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for the NARCOMS Registry and other observational studies and clinical trials, and as the statistician on many NIH-sponsored studies. She has led the DCC for a trial on cognitive rehabilitation and exercise on cognitive impairment in MS (CogEx) and COViMS, a registry for COVID-19 infections in MS. She is proficient in the statistical analysis of data and in the design, organization, and oversight of clinical and epidemiologic research projects. She actively collaborates with investigators in Neurology and other areas and assist investigators in the design and analysis for a wide array of studies and clinical trials. She is also interested in data harmonization and developing tools to facilitate harmonization..

Dr. Roberto S. Hernandez graduated from the University of Texas in 2017 with a B.S. in Mathematics and completed his Ph.D. in Statistics at Baylor University in 2022, where his research focused on analyzing longitudinal data in clinical trials.

Samantha Lancia, M.Sc.

Samantha Lancia, M.Sc.

Ms. Lancia has a Master of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience from St. Louis University. She has over 15 years of experience in clinical research and is passionate about research in MS. Samantha works with Dr. Salter on multiple research projects as a data scientist including the NARCOMS Registry and other research analyses.

Douglas Menendez, M.D., M.S.

Douglas Menendez, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Menendez is a medical doctor and public health specialist who is responsible for research clinical data management for the NARCOMS Registry.

Mudita Sharma, M.S.

Mudita Sharma, M.S.

Ms. Sharma graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Neuroscience and from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with a Masters of Science in Medical Sciences. She currently manages the NARCOMS Registry and is responsible for data analyses for multiple studies.
