Meet the PIs
Drs. Yan and Mason Sweat met in Graduate School, in the Cell and Developmental Biology program at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. After graduation, both PIs went on to postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals, where they trained with leaders in cardiovascular research. They recently established a joint lab in the Moss Heart Center, Division of Cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine. Their group has developed exciting projects with a focus on understanding epigenetic and gene regulatory perturbations driving arrhythmia.
