SPECT and PET Imaging Lab (SPIL)

The SPIL homepage is currently under renovation...

SPECT and PET Imaging Lab (SPIL) is dedicated to advancing patient care through the development and validation of cutting-edge radionuclide imaging technologies for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET). By harnessing the power of deep learning, we aim to address key limitations of PET and SPECT imaging—such as low spatial resolution and slow data acquisition—to significantly enhance diagnostic capabilities.

Our missions are:

  • We work as one team, united as a research family.

  • We pursue both intellectual and spiritual growth, finding joy in the research process.

  • We show respect to all team members and collaborators.

  • We communiate clearly, accurately, and effectively.

  • We develop advanced imaging technologies to improve patient care.

  • We rigorously validate our technologies quantitatively and qualitatively in close collaboration with physicians.

  • We translate our research into clinical practice by commercializing our technologies in partnership with medical device companies.

We're looking for passionate PhD researchers to become part of our research family!

SPIL is recruiting new PhD researchers to join our collaborative research team. We have open positions on active projects. Minimum requirements include experience in medical imaging physics (PET or SPECT), digital image processing, and/or deep learning. If you are interested, please review our current projects and submit your CV to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Yang). Thank you.
