Natural Products Synthesis and Mode-of-Action

Our lab provides expertise in the synthesis complex natural products. We provide creative practical solutions to access adequate amounts for further biological investigation, and probe reagents and structural variants for meaningful structure-function and mode-of-action studies, and control of function. We completed the total synthesis of salicylihalamide, apicularen, peloruside, gustastatin, psymberin, palmerolide, berkelic acid, SCH-351448, saliniketals, rifsaliniketal, salinisporamycin, and mangrolide. Many of these syntheses led to structural reassignments and have instilled the development of novel synthetic methodology.
