The development and progression of cancer are frequently associated with altered rates of lipid synthesis, mobilization, and metabolism in tumor cells. In collaboration with investigators from UT Southwestern and other institutions, we utilize mass spectrometry-based lipidomic approaches to interrogate the unique lipid phenotype of malignant tumors.
