Dr. Liu obtained her Ph.D. in Microbiology from Nankai University in China and received initial postdoctoral training at the Max-Planck Chemical and Ecology Institute in Germany as well as at the University of Florida. In 2004, Dr. Liu joined the Cancer Imaging Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center where she is currently an associate professor of the Department of Radiology.
