SRC Center for Translational Research at UTSW Annual Speaker Series

SRC Center for Translational Research at UTSW will be hosting it's Annual Speaker Series on Friday, February 23, 2024. The featured speaker for 2024 will be Dr. Florent Elefteriou, PhD, Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics and Orthopaedic Surgery, Associate Director of both the Center for Skeletal Medicine and Biology as well as the Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

ASBMR Presenters Announced

We are delighted to announce that three CTR investigators had their abstracts selected for podium presentations at the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) annual meeting, October 13-16, 2023, in Vancouver Canada. Dr. Wise will present “Variants associated with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis perturb an estrogen-sensitive Pax1-Col11a1-Mmp3 signaling axis”, Dr. Rios will present “Spatial transcriptomic analysis of a pre-clinical model of Nf1-deficient fractures pseudarthrosis”, and Dr. Ren will present “Obesity impairs revascularization and bone healing in mouse model of ischemic osteonecrosis”. Congratulations also to Dr. Aysha Khalid whose abstract “Osteogenic impairment in novel pre-clinical mouse model of osteofibrous dysplasia” was selected as a plenary session poster.
