The chemistry laboratory consists of two adjoining 330-square-foot rooms, each equipped with one 6-foot and two 3-foot fume hoods, as well as fully equipped chemistry benches and state-of-the-art instruments for organic synthesis, including Schlenk lines for air-free synthesis, a rotary evaporator, and magnetic stirrers connected to contact thermometers for precise temperature control.
Purification of chemical compounds can be carried out with a flash chromatography instrument integrating preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (Interchim PuriFlash 4250) with UV/vis detector and ELSD for optimal purification performances. Both laboratories are equipped with argon and nitrogen (gas and liquid). A safety shower station is located directly outside the laboratory and eyewashes are installed by each sink.
