The formulation laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for nano/microparticle production and analysis. Major production instrumentation includes a 450-watt probe tip sonicator (Branson), a microfluidizer (Microfluidics LV1), and basic laboratory equipment for particle centrifugation and separation.
Analysis systems include a microparticle cell counter (Beckman Coulter MS4 series), Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis Instrument (NTA, Particle Metrix), dynamic light scattering system (Malvern Zetasizer ZS), and a multimode plate reader (Agilent Biotek Synergy H1), multi-wavelength flow cytometer (BD Accuri C6), and an automated inverted microscope (Agilent Biotek Cytation 5)
The laboratory also has refrigerated storage: a large walk-in refrigerator, two -20°C freezers, two -80°C freezers, and a high-capacity liquid nitrogen cryogenic storage container (Thermo Scientific).
